Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) NC IV

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding NC IV is one of the courses offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. This is the continued level (training program) of NC II. In this training program, you will learn on how to weld steel plates (alloy), steel pipes (alloy) by using or following the company procedure/ diagram/ layouts.

You may also learn on how to follow and learn/ interpret oral instructions, safety procedures/ preventive measures, engineering drawing specification interpretation, quality structure contribution, repairing welded products, hand tool usage and procedure, welding tools setup, alloy steel plates welding GTAW, alloy steel pipes GTAW.

Course duration (Training time that will be consumed): Gas Tungsten Arc Welding NC IV takes 294 hours to finish.

Requirements to apply as a Course Trainee:

1. Certificate of Birth (NSO copy)
2. 1×1 or 2×2 Photo ID (for record purposes)
3. High School Diploma
4. Police Clearance Certificate
5. Barangay Clearance Certificate
6. Good Moral Character Certificate or Honorable Dismissal

You are required to take the NC II level first before applying/ enrolling to the training program.

You may apply as a Carbon Steel Tig Plate Welder, Carbon Steel Tig Pipe Welder, or you can make your own welding shop. You may also avail the OJT program to boost your working experience, you may also work abroad, but some employers require their applicants to have a TESDA certificate and 2 to 3 year work experience.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding NC IV trainees must take an assessment in order to get the certification.
